The man, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, was deported Thursday, DHS said.
The undocumented man allegedly helped by a Minnesota judge evade arrest in a Milwaukee courthouse has been deported, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested in April and charged with two federal counts of obstruction of official DHS deportation proceedings. and knowingly hiding the man, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, from immigration authorities.
According to federal prosecutors, Dugan met with federal agents who were in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on April 18 to arrest Flores-Ruiz, who was appearing in his courtroom on an assault charge.
Prosecutors say that after speaking with agents, Dugan directed them to the chief judge’s office down the hall and then sent Flores-Ruiz and his attorney through a private door in an alleged attempt, authorities say, to help him evade arrest for immigration violations.

Flores-Ruiz, originally from Mexico, was later arrested and charged with illegal re-entry into the US.
He was sentenced to time served earlier this month after pleading guilty to the charge, federal court records show.
ICE deported him on Thursday, according to DHS.
DHS said Flores-Ruiz entered the United States illegally twice and has “a violent criminal history that includes strangulation and suffocation, assault and domestic abuse.”
“Judge Hannah Dugan’s actions in obstructing the arrest of this violent criminal take the term ‘activist judge’ to a whole new meaning.” Department of Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement Friday. “Thanks to the brave men and women of ICE law enforcement, this criminal is OUT of our country.
Dugan pleaded not guilty to the charges. His trial is scheduled to begin on December 15.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court suspended Dugan following her arrest, stating in an order that he believed it was “in the public interest that she be temporarily relieved of her official duties.”
