The Democrats, who responded to the 100 -day mark of the second term of President Donald Trump, argue that the opinion of the American public about the White House and the Republicans in Congress, as well as the dismay around high prices, gives them an opening to turn the balance of power in the United States representatives in 2026.
In a strategy memorandum obtained exclusively by ABC News, the campaign committee of the Democratic Congress (DCCC), the campaign arm of the Chamber Democrats, wrote: “In just 100 days, the Republicans of the House of Representatives and Donald Trump have lost the support of the US people and left a trace of broken promises that will cost them most of the camera next year.”
Recent surveys show approval ratings for Trump and the Republicans of Congress are underwater, although Democrats of Congress have sometimes been worse. In a recent ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos survey, Trump beats Democrats in Congress in terms of trust to handle the main problems of the nation.
The DCCC, however, argues in the memo that the Democrats have impulse. The group pointed out the ads of some Republican members during the 2024 campaign cycle, where they said they would work to obtain costs, claiming that they and others have abandoned those promises. The group also claimed that the recent budget plan approved by the Republicans of the House of Representatives will potentially lead to Medicare and Medicaid cuts.

Republicans have argued that the Budget Plan will not threaten or threaten any benefit or right and that Democrats are causing undue fear. Some also blame the actions of the previous White House under Democratic President Joe Biden or the factors outside the control of any person have caused higher prices.
“The DCCC and the Chamber Democrats will continue to fight and hold the Republicans for their broken promises … With each new bill that is presented, the committee meeting held and the vote of amendment taken, the American people will know that the Republicans do not work for them, they work for the billionaire,” the Democratic group wrote.
And looking at 2026, the DCCC added: “His trail of broken promises has helped put the democrats of the chamber on offense with an expansive battlefield map, including more initial districts at stake than any cycle since 2018. The DCCC will continue to build on this impulse on our way to recover the house next year.”
Republicans clung to a thin majority in the camera in the 2024 elections.

The National Committee of the Republican Congress (NRCC), the arm of the Republicans campaign of the House of Representatives, has expressed its confidence that the Republican Party will celebrate the camera in the middle of the first intermediate of 2026. The group celebrated the 100 -day Trump brand on Tuesday as a milestone for the impulse of an agenda that the group said it is revitalizing the country.
The representative of the president of the NRCC, Richard Hudson, RN.C., wrote in a statement on Tuesday: “In just 100 days, President Trump has revived the American greatness. He has assured our border, put the United States again at the top and restored the American dream. The Republicans of the Chamber will continue working with him and building this historical moment.”
The DCCC memorandum occurs when Democratic officials and other figures mark the 100 days of Trump’s second mandate, although the party is still divided on how to rebuild after their losses in 2024.
To mark the milestone of the 100 days, the mayors and the Democratic governors have indicated the cuts of expenses of the federal government or new policies that say they have a harmful impact on their states.
Some known governors, including the governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, who created the hum during Sunday’s comments in New Hampshire when he said that “these Republicans cannot know a moment of peace,” will celebrate a virtual town hall on Tuesday night on “how Democratic governors are standing to protect people in their states,” according to the Association of Democratic governors.

Senator Cory Booker, Dn.J., and the leader of the majority of the representatives, Hakeem Jeffries, dn.y. ,,,,,,,, organized an “hour” sitting “on the steps of the house Sunday to protest the budgetary plans of the Republicans of Congress.
Some Democrats have argued that the disparate responses to the administration are actually a strength for the party, while it is closed of power in Washington.
The governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, who was Vice President Kamala Harris’s formula in 2024, said in a talk on Monday night that the Democratic Party must “flood the area” and “fill each lane, and if there is one better than another, then we will choose that lane and do more.”
Harris herself is ready to deliver comments on Wednesday in San Francisco, one day after the 100 -day brand of the administration, in the celebration of the 20th anniversary for emerges, an organization that supports democratic women who run for a position.
