Pennsylvania is experiencing “intermittent” interruptions throughout the State, the authorities confirmed on Friday.

The Emergency Management Agency of Pennsylvania confirmed on social networks that there are “some interruptions” and are working to solve the problem and restore the service.

“Please, just call 911 for true emergencies. Don’t call just to verify if it is working,” said the agency.

The Philadelphia Police Department said the interruption is “intermittent” and that “some calls are still successful.”

The interruption can affect that the capacity of some residents to reach emergency services through the traditional 911 system, police said.

If residents cannot reach 911, the Police urges residents to call their local police district in Philadelphia directly.
